The East West Rail Action Group is a dedicated community-led collective formed to represent the residents, commuters, and businesses of the regions served by the East West Rail project, primarily the route between Oxford and Bletchley / Milton Keynes. We are united by a single goal: ensuring the promised rail infrastructure becomes a functional, reliable, and active passenger service without further delay.
Our Mission
Our mission is to advocate for the immediate commencement of passenger services on the 23 miles of track already completed between Oxford and Bletchley (via Winslow). We work to hold the Department for Transport, Network Rail, and partner operators accountable for delivery timelines, ensuring that the substantial public investment in this line translates into real-world benefits for our communities.
Our Principles: Non-Political and Peaceful
The East West Rail Action Group is a strictly non-political and non-partisan organization. We do not align ourselves with any political party or ideology. Our focus is exclusively on infrastructure delivery and transport utility.
We are committed to peaceful advocacy. Our methods include:
- Constructive dialogue with government and transport officials.
- Data-driven campaigning and public awareness.
- Formal petitions and community engagement.
- Transparent reporting on project milestones and delays.
Why We Campaign
With stations built and tracks laid, the "mothballing" of active infrastructure is an environmental and economic missed opportunity. We believe that a connected region is a thriving region. By joining our voice, you are helping to ensure that East West Rail stays on track to deliver the sustainable transport link our community was promised.
